The Andes Society for History and Culture is a not for profit educational corporation established in 1975 for the purpose of promoting the history of Andes and the surrounding area and to provide diverse educational and cultural programming. It is located in the historic village of Andes, NY in the heart of the Catskill Mountains.

The ASHC created a beautiful 2020 calendar featuring 12 historic photos of Andes to raise funds to maintain our three historical buildings: The Hunting Tavern, The Pleasant Valley Meeting Hall, and The Old Fire House).

Andes Society for History and Culture Thrift Shop Dates 2019:

The Thrift Shop is located in the old Fire House on Main Street.

Regular daily hours:
Monday through Saturday (closed Sundays) will begin May 26 through September 14, 10AM to 4PM. If possible The Shop will open Saturdays in late Summer and early Fall.

The Shop is full of dressers, chairs, beds, cribs, and many table top home goods. There is also a nice assortment of clothing, books and odds and ends. Stop in and say hi, and if you have something to donate come by and bring it in. If the item are large, pick up can be arranged.
